As the tide prepares to change the fabric of Detroit's inner core, it becomes more evident then ever that Detroits Emperor past will allow it to reclaim a certain level of it's glorious past. We've lost pieces to our amazine jig saw puzzle of top notch architecture, while retaining a wonderful cluster (restored and not quite restored hotels and theaters). Now we have a chance to fill these structures will loft, apt, and condo living. United Artist Theater will probably see loft living in the office section while the theater itself will see the wrecking ball. China town, lost during the race riots is being remade on prime riverfront land (San Francisco).

The USA is an empire, too. At least until the 2008 election.
