I'm not a fan of professional (cough, cough) wrestling but the WWE 23 came to town, setting an attendance record at the Ford Field and a billionaire's hair was shaved off by Donald Trump. Over 80,000 people jammed Ford Field to watch bulky morons fake fight/sling each other around. That is probably the most The Donald ever stood in front of. Wrestling promotor Vince McMahon got his hair shaved off when his wrestler lost to Donald's wrestler. Anybody know if Donald did any touring/sight-seeing/prospecti ng here? 80,000 Detroit area people went to a fake wrestling event. How many of you were there? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W restleMania_23 |

LOL. I know they premiered Stone Cold's Movie at the FOX Theatre. Wrestlers and everyone alike filled the FOX. Also, they were at several malls including Great Lakes and they were even at the Main Library for the kiddies. They likely will book another event here. All the tickets they had on sale originally sold out within the first week. Apparently, Detroiters love fake Wrestling. |

Trump in not interested in investing in Detroit. He only invests in cities that has WORLD CLASS status like NEW YORK CITY, CHICAGO, ATLANTIC CITY, LAS VEGAS, LOS ANGELES and FORT LAUDERDALE. He's also looking for a any city that more rich folks in the real estate market and has a history of ethnic diversity that leads to multicultural communities today. He doesn't like city corruption and blighted areas, history of high crime and disinvestments. Trump came to Detroit to do his mission CUT VINCENT KENNEDY MCMAHON'S OLD GRAY STINKING HAIR and that's what he did. |

Yes Upinottawa, Trump close Fort Lauderdale as a world class city for he found that the most residents are in the upper higher class. More greater the all 5 Grosse Pointes combined. |

I had the great time people watching from the parking structure across the street from Ford Field. The best thing I saw was someone drive by with a live chicken in there car. It really could have been fake, but I dont think it was. I am thinking it was there dinner for later on. I did get a pixor of it, but its on my computer at home.. Me and the gf also had a mullet sighting contest, she won 15-11... |

"80,000 Detroit area people went to a fake wrestling event. How many of you were there?" There were so many foreign visitors for this event it was mind boggling. I saw the same 5 people from New York on Saturday and Sunday, 2 guys from Wales, at least ten from england, a few from Japan and a guy from Italy. These were just people at the bar on saturday and sunday. |

Vince McMahon: The scourge of America. He's single-handedly brought American culture to an all-time low. Any fool who lets his children watch wrestling or who takes his child to an event like Wrestlemania ought to be tarred and feathered. And put in a "figure-4 leg-lock" for good measure. As for McMahon, I wish he'd just walk away already. |

Well Trump is investing in New Orleans, so why can't he invest in Detroit? I think his place will come here in the future. There are rich folks that live in the Detroit area. |

Gistok, Trump is not interested in middle class suburban cities only upper class suburbs and world class cities of his choosing. |

Toog05, The reason Trump put his investments on New Orleans because he wants to make himself know to charity. He notices that New Orleans is a party city and generate lots of good revenue. It was in his choosing that Trump toss his money Big Easy. |

Well I can't see why Trump would not at least consider Detroit, maybe not now but sometime in the future. |

quote:Trump in not interested in investing in Detroit. Ummm... excuse me, but are we forgetting that he tried for a casino bid and also looked at the Uniroyal site at one time? And that comparison to Atlantic city... so very world class... Danny, I think you're slipping. |

I was there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I got standing room tickets at the last minute for $25. It's entertainment in a pretty low form, but entertainment nonetheless. I must say that the crowd was probably more entertaining than the events. I'm surprised Wikipedia didn't reference the number of 30 year old virgins in once place at one time, because there was probably some kind of record broken that night as well. Despite being surrounded by degenerates and invalids, it was a good warm up for Tigers' opening day and I'm glad that I went. It was definitely and experience, and worth every penny. Also the Undertaker is a bad ass and the ladder match was crazy. |

93,173 people in Ford Field! Damn that place must have been packed. Doesn't it seat something like 54,000? That was more than the Super Bowl; how about that? |

It was 93,173 at the Pontiac Silverdome back 20 years ago not Ford Field, this past Sunday there was a little over 80,000 in attendance. Ford Field seats 65,000. |
