I'm researching for a book on the history of Rochester College. Circa 1954, the charter members of the board of trustees were elected at the Fisher YMCA in Detroit. Does anyone know where this was located?

Sorry, the Fisher Branch YMCA was and still is at the northeast corner of Grand Boulevard and Dexter.

The Hannan Branch YMCA was/is on East Jefferson.

I'm sorry about the incorrect information. I do know (once reminded) that the Hannon Branch is on East Jefferson.

jjaba, Westsider, learned to swim in the 1940s at Fisher YMCA on Dexter Blvd., just off the W. Grand Blvd. He took the Dexter bus over there.

It is a beautiful bldg. and at the time, a really nice neighborhood of brick homes. Our doctor was in the house at corner, Dexter Blvd. and Hogarth with office in home. Dr. Selmon.

jjaba.
