Does anyone know who designed the bronze doors at the McGregor Library? I know the building's architects (Tilton and Githens, and Burrowes and Eurich). But I seem to remember that an outside artist was brought in to do the doors.

Yes, the doors were designed by a man named Fred Torrey in 1928. He did quite a bit of architectural sculpture mostly in Chicago.
