Nashville-based Turner Publishing Company, an independent publisher of specialty and trade titles in business since 1984, has recently published "Historic Photos of Detroit." This new book offers "unique and rare scenes through the lens of hundreds of historic photographs. Received my copy today. Excellent book. There's a few photos that I've seen from the WSU archives, but the vast majority of the reproduced photos are new to me. Photo reproduction quality is generally good. A few could use greater contrast, but I'd imagine the original was pretty faded. A good buy if you have a couple of spare Jacksons. |
