An older white GMC Safari van with a brown stripe on it was recovered in the 15000 block of Rosa Parks Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m. and two people in the vicinity were taken into custody, Tate said. Police also seized items they believe will be evidence in the case, he said. Tate said Detroit police have reports of four students and four adults being robbed this morning after being approached by a white van on Detroit's west side. A Detroit Public Schools spokeswoman said as many as 10 students were robbed of coats, Nike shoes and other items. At least one of the victims was robbed at gunpoint. Police could not say whether a gun also was recovered. | ||
