Remember, Soupy. Be true to your teeth, and they won't be false to you.

Happy Birthday!

Soupy Sez-
George Washington may be the father of our country, but Faygo is the pop!

So jjaba took his girlfriend to Briggs Stadium for a ballgame. We sat in back of Sec. 24.
He kissed her on the strikes and she kissed him on the balls.

jjaba, baseball fan with nod to Soupy Sales. We love you Soupy.

HBD Soupy. My favorite Soupy character as the great hunter Col. Claude Bottom. Anyone else remember his 11:15 PM show on XYZ?

Marv Welch lives!

I spoke with him in Shores Inn on Mack and Nine Mile when I bumped into him while back in town in late '05 and he was still telling dirty jokes.

He is alive, isn't he?

One time Soupy was doing an appearance at Katherine B. White (elementary) School down the street from my folk's and my Dad helped him get his convertable top back up when it got stuck and a storm came in suddenly. Amazing to think of celebrities(other than athletes) making appearances at schools to encourage children! ...And driving there by themselves in their own cars.

Al_t_publican,
Marv is still hanging in there and performs occasionally at Jack's Waterfront Restaurant. And he's as dirty as ever.

Soupy can't perform anymore due to health issues. Marv has his Jack's Watrerfront gig.

Ed, are you in touch with Soupy?

I was on his show when I was a little kid. My mom was the receptionist at WXYZ-TV for a few years, that's how I got on.

In an old scrapbook, I still have the congratulatory card that Soupy and his wife sent to my parents when I was born.
