I don't know about deer population on Belle Isle. Back then, in 1994, I saw 20 or so. Read somewhere that the deer were herded up and are no longer are allowed to roam freely. What a shame if true.
I have other photographs of me feeding the deer with a little (ok, a lot of) coaxing on my part. I should not have done that because continued feeding of human food is not good for there diet. Also, it can cause the deer to become unafraid of humans. Unfortunately, there are some mean people are out there. |
