Happy Holiday Everyone! This week's signal is one of Detroit's oldest survivors dating to the 1930s. It was manufactured by General Electric under the name NOVALUX. the body is a single-piece aluminum casting with three doors to access bulbs and reflectors inside. This one stands guard at E Grand and Palmer.

Very vivid picture! Any photographs of traffic signals in or around Rosedale Park in Northwest Detroit? |

Fun hobby and very informative descriptions! Thanks. It's amazing these things last so long probably with minimal maintenance, too. Your photo is very clear; what camera do you use? |

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I don't really have any pics of NW Detroit signals yet, but I will try. As for my camera, nothing special - its about 3 years old. A Fuji Finepix S3000 with a 6x optical and under 5 megapixel I beleive. JOE C. |
