Absolutely not!!! I think it is very unique and the perfect touch for that section of the path. I think it is a great attraction and will be a natural draw. And knowing Detroiters, we'll "make it a tradition growing up" about going for a ride on the carousel. To me, it's an amazing component and will offer a sense of community pride. Hey, we could have copied Chicago and built a gigantic ferris wheel. But then how creative and original would have have been? ;) | ||

CUB, Nashville HAD a carousel. They dismantled it a few years back. Its in storage. Not sure what the fate of it will be. But its gone now. | ||

I found it doing a search... I think they're pretty sweet except for the bald eagle which just looks a little plain to me compared to the other creatures....and the Mermaid looks like a 3-dollar whore and is grabbing herself, which is fine with me, but I can see some people complaining ; ) (Message edited by thejesus on May 02, 2007) | ||
