It's just around the corner (sort of). Of course the Old Shillelagh is the obvious place to go for St. Patrick's Day. I've also heard that the Gaelic League is pretty sweet. Any thoughts, suggestions, anecdotes? |

Centaur, Cliff Bells, Pulse, Proof, HRC..all logical choices. Great Irish bars they are. |

I've gone to the Gaelic League for the last five years, it's a UDM tradition. usually it's $10 at the door, $10 a pitcher. They have live music, tents in back and good people all around. Add a front row seat to the Mich. Ave. Parade, and it's a great option. I usually stagger down the street to corktown tavern or the works for some electronic music at the end of the night. usually $5-10 before midnight. |

Hey Stoney don't forget Baile Corcaigh is a bit pricey but a great Irish restuarant. On Parade day and on St Paddy's they put a tent in the lot and have live entertainment. Mark |

can't believe no one mentioned Nemos, both for the Parade and for St. Pat's Day. |

i've been to the gaelic league, nancy whiskey's and the tipperary pub in warrendale for st. patrick's day...and all are good choices. and honestly, unless you plan on starting early (and when i say early, i mean 9am) i would not bother with the shillelagh. from what i've heard from friends, it's a great starter bar for st. patty's day, but as the day goes on, it gets way too overcrowded and the line to just get into the tent wraps around the block. |

St. Patrick's day itself is definitely amateur night, but the parade is for professional drinkers.....I highly recommend it. |
