you park inside the complex, there's tons of parking. come in the clay ave entrance (a hole in the side of the building, half way down) and drive into the courtyard. the event is in buildings one and two which are the first and second buildings on the right, respectively as you drive in.

there is power in buildings 1 and 2

Too bad, I missed yours then. I was super impressed by the art work I saw that day. Also the artists. It's fascinating that some artists come from other countries to Detroit, and not other typical cities you'd expect, like NY or San Francisco. There was a Polish Oil Painter and a Brazilian Abstract artist that I recall.

jjaba's father ran the Cupples-Hesse Envelope Factory there in the 1950s and 1960s. He retired in 1968. It faced Russell St. just off the corner of Clay in the Murray Body works bldgs. Later, he was a pressman at a print shop a little North on the Eastside of I-75. It was a letterpress shop.
