Am I just being touchy or did Seger not once mention Detroit. He mentioned S.E. Michigan a number of times but never the word Detroit. Even his tour listings on the shirts say Auburn Hills instead of Detroit.

That's because he played in Auburn Hills, not Detroit.

Give me a break. When has anyone said it's great to be in Auburn Hills tonight. It's always "DETROIT" the home of rock and roll. Well I guess I am being touchy.

How about Seger knows the local area and knew he was in AH 20 or so miles from Detroit.

I'm with Toolbox on this: Seger knows how disingenuous it would be to refer to The Palace as "Detroit"

first of all, he mentioned detroit numerous times. We must have been at different concerts. When he introduced members from his band, mentioning they were from detroit, they always got the loudest cheer.

Also, before he played Down on Main Street, he said "this is about my hometown.. No wait, my hometown is Detroit, but this is about the city i grew up in Ann Arbor," as the crowd roared.
