I believe this record label is based in Ann Arbor, correct? Anybody know what's up with their website(s)? www.mackaborn.com & www.sonicsrendezvous.com I used to be able to get to it, but now I need a user name & password, something I've never needed before, nor have I ever received one to continue to log in. They used to have Sonic's Rendezvous' "City Slang" for sale, and I'd like to get a copy. I've tried linking off of other sites (Scott Morgan's & Gary Rasmussen's), but to no avail. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Wasn't sure where to post this, so I put it in the middle, so to speak (between "Discuss" & "Non-Detroit").

Mack Aborn isn't really a "label" as much as a pet-project for a guy named Freddie Brooks. Freddie was a long-time friend of Fred "Sonic" Smith since the '70's. Freddie released both the "Sweet Nothing" & "City Slang" CD's after Sonic's passing in 1994. Apparently, Freddie has been working on yet another Sonic release called "American Boy" which has been in the works for the past 3 years, at least. I have seen both "City Slang" and "Sweet Nothing" for reasonable prices on EBay.

thanks for the looong awaited info! But do you know why a person needs a password and/or account to log onto the website(s)? I remember logging on when I first discovered them, now I can't.
