I had heard these rumors for weeks. I guess it's true! I grew up in the community where this is taking place. Good news for this family. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs .dll/article?AID=/20060807/NEW S99/60807009 http://www.gilliamfamilyfund.o rg/ |

Another site on this topic. The official ABC site. Some friends of mine saw "The Bus" today, with police escorts. Very exciting for a small town. Channel 7 will be covering this starting Wednesday. http://extremehomedetroit.com/ |

This is also up where I was born and raised. I'm a proud 2001 Armada High School graduate and my family still resides up there. Very exciting for the town and absolutely wonderful for such a deserving family. |

I agree. This is something great for this family. Sad to lose a loved one but especially sad on Christmas Eve when small children are involved. It said that they sent the family away on vacation. Probably a much needed break and probably a vacation they would have never been able to take had it not been for this show and the tons of volunteers and sponsors. I'll be looking to watch this episode on TV. |

As I remember, when they can save the structure, they do. In this case, the structure is kaputt. |

With the mold problem tearing down the house was likely the only choice they had. |

I'm certain I'll find someone on here that knows. A co-worker stated this is the second project in Metro Detroit. She was certain the first one was in Royal Oak. The only other one I'm aware of was in either Berkley or Ferndale. Thanks |

Was that with the 2 deaf parents, with a blind Autistic younger son? The poor older son had a lot of responsibility to bear... |
