A new Trivia question awaits at the HOF-Finney High thread (might take a few hours to clear the moderator). |

12468_laing...Hello. Rats...I see my HOF/Finney High response has not yet been posted by the moderator; takes a extra-little while sometimes. Hopefully it will be up sometime today. In the mean time; see if you can answer this question: When was the last time a swimmer - from a Detroit public school - won an individual event at the MHSAA Finals? |

1963 was the last year that a Detroit public school league swimmer won an individual MHSAA title; matter of fact - there was three of 'em that year: Cooley's Bill Jennison won the 100-yard butterfly, and set a National Record along the way. Pershing's Pete Adams won the 200 & 400-yard freestyle. Western's Richie Skarbo took the 100-yard backstroke & 200-yard individual medley Yep, 1963 was a magical year for Detroit PSL swimmers! |
