Do you read or post on DetroitYes.com at work? I technically do, but only when I'm working from home. |

Nope, not me. Very little of my work time is spent anywhere near computers. |

How do you figure Ravine? I keep track of time spent working. It doesn't matter when, so long as it's 8 hours six days a week. I also may start "telecommuting". You might work better sitting in a office cubicle. However, I definitely do not. I really can't wait until I make my move, and am able to sit and do a little of my work in one of Detroit's beautiful parks. Is there really anything wrong with that? At home, I have few distractions (no kids yet), so I can work just fine. |

I saw a headline online this morning that workers spend 25% of their work time doing personal stuff, a number that has greatly increased over recent years because of the greater access to the internet at work. I also saw an article headline yesterday that showed the US has the highest productivity per capita in the world, and it is at its highest point ever. I also saw another headline about the economic security of US citizens is at a low point. What does all this mean? |

It means we produce more than everybody else, and we do all this using only 75% of our work day. However due to economic security being low, we may have to increase productivity further to cover for all the folks being layed off. That sucks because I might have to work 80% of the day instead of 75%. That's another half an hour that I can't post on DYes! |

I spend hours at work surfing. Not so much at home. I love my job. |

Retired, but before that never surfed the web at work. Might have played a few games of solitare on a boring day, but otherwise pretty much stuck to business. |

I hate the computer at work. Damn thing slows me down. But it is good in 2 ways MY ONE BOSS HATES NOTES, YET THE OTHER SAVES EVERY SCRAP OF PAPER I WRITE ON. I only look at weather and my work email, which is 75% crap anyway |
