I heard the Packard Proving Grounds is open for tours this Saturday but cannot seem to find it anywhere on the web. Can you confirm this? |

Thanks, Norwalk! come to see, and hopefully support the proving grounds project, pretty soon it will be the last vestige of Packard left. |

Not only is the event free, the Johnny Trudell big band will be performing "music from the Packard era", 1928-1956. I'll be there. The Proving Grounds project need support, it will be the last vestige of Packard after the inevitable demolition of the Packard plant on EGB (at this point it will be good riddance). |

Norwalk--I was there, saw your '51, which looks to be a solid unit! Sorry I couldn't hang around, I wanted to at least say HI, but the family was tugging on my sleeve to go eat, so I was dragged away. Johnny Trudell's band sounded wonderful. |
