Dally in the Alley will be holding it's first fundraiser Saturday, June 16th at Cass Café, in Detroit. Music performances by People Mover Production's DJs include Milieu and Rob Barrett, in addition to the Andy Toth vs Colin Zyskowski live performance. People Mover Productions is a group of five like-minded musicians, promoters and DJ's who have helped support Dally in the past and continue to do well in the Cass Corridor.

The night of the fundraiser, this year's Dally poster artist, Ron Zakrin, will conclude his art showcase at the Café. The event starts at 10 p.m. Suggested donation is $5.

Some highlights for the 30th annual Dally in the Alley include:

- The Museum Of Contemporary Art and Design (MOCAD) will be curating this year's art gallery.
- This year's poster art and t-shirts will be done by Ron Zakrin.
- Broadside Press will conduct a poetry and writing workshop for kids during the kids fair.
- Multiple Dally fundraisers leading up to the festival. Fundraisers will showcase different forms of art from artists of the Cass Corridor.

About Dally: What began as an inner city art fair in 1977, Dally in the Alley celebrates its 30th birthday. This year's Dally will take place Saturday, September 8th , with a rain day Sunday, September 9th. As with years past, great people, musical talent, arts and crafts and a remarkable string of beautiful weather will mark the alley at Second and Forest in Detroit's Cass Corridor. With more than 100 participants selling food, beer, art and things you can only find in the Cass Corridor, this year will be its best yet.

yes, you know, events to raise funds.

above is the press release for the fundraiser. hopefully, you'll be interested in supporting; it's legit. the new chairperson for this year's dally is even one of the performers.

i'm assuming he realized the need to raise funds prior to the dally, which is probably not free to throw or promote.
