Thanks for these great posts! Can anyone imagine what the following means? "Access by car to the motel-boatel would be direct to the rooms over a spiral ramp." I am picturing a motel with some kind of spiral ramp leading to a parking area that was elevated, but still in front of the rooms, like a traditional motel. Does that sound right? Also, what exactly is in the "A" location today? Those of us who are not native to the region need some help on these things sometimes! |

A big building that you might have heard of, the Renaissance Center. Very interesting concept. It would be cool imagining this development there today with the people mover integrated. I imagine the buildings would have been 50's modernist like CAY |

The map is pretty general, with no clear boundaries. The dark grey area to the left of "A" is the current civic center, and the small space between the two is the tunnel. This is far from done, there is some crazy stuff still to come... ;) Wait until we get to the retail and transit sections... |
