Ford‘s thirty-eight thousand workers take buy outs. UAW members mostly older high seniority true blue Union members. Is this union busting on the Way Forward? Can you say goodbye to the Job bank, medical insurance without high monthly co pays, hello to shared cost benefits? Which Retirees benefits get the axe when this younger worker dominated work force, that did not work shoulder to shoulder with any of the money draining retired workers bargains the new contract?
Smart moves Ford cut the personal history out of the fellowship of the union than cry’s wolf sounds like basic warfare tactic divide and conquer. As the UAW leadership knows this is coming and has known, they can only standby and take it. For membership would never stand up and fight.
Is the End of Union?
All workers will feel this Union and non Union.

quote:

...The essential conditions for the existence and for the sway of the bourgeois class is the formation and augmentation of capital; the condition for capital is wage labour. Wage labour rests exclusively on competition between the labourers. The advance of industry, whose involuntary promoter is the bourgeoisie, replaces the isolation of the labourers, due to competition, by the revolutionary combination, due to association. The development of Modern Industry, therefore, cuts from under its feet the very foundation on which the bourgeoisie produces and appropriates products. What the bourgeoisie therefore produces, above all, are its own grave-diggers. Its fall and the victory of the proletariat are equally inevitable.

It has begun
