It really makes me all giggly like a schoolgirl to see the Book-Cadillac all lit up at night. It has a long way to go, of course, but after staring at it dark for so long... Of course, this post will undoubtedly bring the required "tear that schitt down" posts and other negative, time-wasting comments from the suburbian naysayers. But ya know, standing on the corner of Lafayette and 2nd at 10 p.m. and seeing those 26 floors of lights beaming really gives you hope, gang. It really does. Think I'll bring my camera to work tomorrow night for those who haven't been able to see the BC at night these days. | ||

Rawk, if you smoke and work near the BC, we should be best friends. I work at the Freep on Fort between 2nd and 3rd, but I work nights. There's always lunch, tho. As for this: We've has thread chronicling construction at the BC for months. Is it really necessary to start another ? I just said seeing it lit up gave me hope for the city's future. I wasn't chronicling the construction of it. I forgot my camera again today (was running late), and I'm on vacation until Dec. 15. But I'll be back downtown to drink at the Anchor or something before then, so I'll just have to remember. That is, unless someone beats me to the posting of nighttime photos. |
