they were really pushing for u.s. donations earlier. "since wdet's daytime format changes, we're metro detroit & windsor's only daytime independent music source."

I'm going to donate, too.

Oh, yeah. I do miss wdet's afternoon music, but I have to say that bbc's "world have your say" is the most addictive radio around....

It appears that you can listen to the station live over the internet:

I've been listening pretty often since I was 13 at least. They've always had a loyal U.S. following as I can tell. It was a big event when they finally got a local number for callers from Detroit. A couple of my favourite shows from days gone by were hosted by guys from Detroit,

CAmbrian, CJAM used to have a 50 watt signal, but due to donations that was changed to 1000 watts in about 1998 or there abouts.
Keep those donations coming in and perhaps the station will increase that signal as well.

´The numbers of clockwise and counterclockwise spirals in a pinecone are always adjacent numbers in the fibonacci sequence.

yes, but it's not as good as it used to be. They continue to give all-talk slots to religous dullards with monotone voices...(ugh, Krishna Unconsciousness, anyone?
My new discovery: WFMU in Jersey, perhaps the best radio station in the US:

Barnes, a pal of mine subs on the air at wfmu sometimes, I became aware of them through him. Their website is as good as their on-air.

Wild and wooly.

Mathematics is the language of nature.

CJAM is the best radio station around here, sans maybe WHFR at HFCC.

I was going to pipe up and say I love WHFR too, but I can usually only ever pick them up in my car. Oh well

Anyway, CJAM raised $20,000 folks! Way to go
