It would appear that the author of the article was writing to an audience of Windsorites. To read that article any other way would suggest that the freeway expansion was designed to make life easier for Canadians crossing into the United States. Today, such an idea would be ironic considering how hard the Government of the United States is working to make sure Canadians do not want to come to the United States (passport requirements, etc.). |

Ottawa, not so flippant. most Canadians are great neighbors but a few bad guys slipped the crack of the Canadian Border in Maine, slipped onto some aeroplanes and landed them into tall American buildings. Sadly, this event has caused a lot of this border hassle. Great history there AIW. No way in hell could anybody follow those directions in 1959. Is it better today fer ya, eh? jjaba. |

Let's not keep that tired myth going that the 9/11 terrorists entered the U.S. via Canada. http://www.washingtonpost.com/ wp-dyn/articles/A38816-2005Apr 8.html |
