In the midst of all of this celebrating, a sad note about one of our beloved heroes from the 1968 Tigers, Willie Horton has said to have lost his championship ring after game three at Comerica Park. I really hope that someone finds it and can return it to him. |

I'm just hoping it didn't just fall off and get swept up somewhere. And seriously SS, if someone found some perp tried to hawk it on eBay, there would be hell to pay. |

Let's prove how great Detroiter's are by returning Willie's ring to him. I'm sure if someone found it they are trying to do it at this moment. Detroitej72 |

Because he earned that history and was going to be in the midst of a large group of admirers who would appreciate it. He should've had a duplicate made for kissing fans, though, just for THIS reason. Wonder if it is insured?! |

Regardless of why he wore it there, it still has tons of sentimental value to the man. I don't think it'd be any different if someone lost their wedding band. It's still a tragedy. |

Rings are meant to be worn. I hope it's insured - I hope more intensely that it is returned to him. later - naturalsister |

Now that he's found it, someone needs to help Willie tie one on. |

Karl's buying a round of drinks for Willie Horton? Kool! Bravo to the people that turned Willie Horton's ring back to him. Did they say where and how it was found? |
