Glad to see Ray1936 enjoying the party on the Westside. Is he going to Oakland to give us a full report? jjaba was in Youngstown, Ohio last week and they told me everybody there is moving to Las Vegas. True? 1970s, 175,000 down to 80,000 today. More ruins than Detroit. jjaba. |

No going to Oakland, Jjaba. Was in the Bay area once and I didn't like it. Everything overpriced. I'll just watch on ESPN or Fox. Lots of Ohio folks out here in the Vegas area. You can spot them easily; they drive worse than California drivers.......... |

Tigers lead at 8-1 C-Mo at the plate. For newbies, Detroit Skyline 101, at twilight's last gleaming. Panoramic view of Comerica Park. Click image for large view.

DEtroit Tigers... even the sports people on TV spoke politely about our fine city last night. I was at home clicking between the TIG's and the Michigan v.s. State football game. Thanks for the photos Lowell. Looks like you had some great seats. |

Wonderful pix, Lowell. You captured the scenes. Perhaps the "sports people on tv spoke politely about our fine city", but NYT Sports editor George Vecsey was not so complimentary when he wrote in Sunday's Times (on page 1): "At the moment, the city of Detroit is thrilled...but the Bronx Bombers do not exist for the humanitarian purpose of providing a lift to a downtrodden city". Up yours, George. ): |

On to Oakland boys. New York is irrelevant now. Lot's of news on the wire about Joe Torre being replaced by Sweet Lou Pinella. But really, we don't give a rat's ass, eh. Thanks Rock. Still great being a Tigers Fan. jjaba, on the Westside. |
