Does anybody have experience, reference, or referrals for any home appraisers?

Specifically the ones that really like to give high valuations to old, historic houses.

But, I'll take fair, I guess.

Thanks in advance.

This should probably be in the connections section, so feel free to move it.

Thanks.

There are some in this article that specialize in very high valuations.

Call them before they are housed some place where they're only allowed to use the payphone for five minutes a day.

Because he hopes to be possessive of an over-inflated appraisal.

Go to your local bank and ask for its approved appraiser list. The list will contain names of trusted appraisers whose appraisals the bank will accept when making mortgage loans.

Appraisers are under serious scrutiny by the State and most lenders to adhere to strict appraisal standards and it's unlikely you'll now find one who will massage the numbers upward i/c/w mortgage loans.

Nope. Not the Pointes, Eric.

Too close to the city for me.

Thanks to all who gave me a referral. Shockingly, everybody said the same person, and so she is one of the people who will be doing the appraisal.

It is appreciated.
