Very nice. One thing I've been missing this summer is the GLMI's web cam and the ability to look at the boats as they go by Belle Isle. Nice picture as always, Andrew..... |

Probably Mike, keep your eyes open. Is it just me or does she remind anyone else of the Aquarama? |

So what's the Ryerson doing in Detroit? Excellent history and summary, AIW. Always great of you, but this one wins a prize since the ship was in transit and AIW had to be watchful. Or are is AIW a CIA mole keeping us safe? jjaba, hard to see the Detroit River from here. |

I thought these links might be interesting to any freighter watchers reading this thread. http://www.jclary.com/rivercam .html http://www.achesonventures.com /home.asp http://www.boatnerd.com/ The first takes you to a webcam of the St. Clair River, set up for freighter watching. The second takes you to a website about an area of Port Huron being redeveloped on the waterfront. I thought it might be useful because a big part of it is called Vantage Point, which is an indoor facility built for year-round boach watching, so if anyone felt like taking a day trip up 94 it'd be fun to visit. The third link is to boatnerd.com, which has information on just about any and every freighter on the lakes. Lots of interesting info. |
