I didn't realize that there wasn even talk about a gondola back in the '70s. Like everything else that has to do Detroit & Windsor, this never came to fruition either. Thanks for posting the card. | ||

Funny you posted this, AIW. I was just reading on Wikipedia about Duluth, Minnesota's famed Aerial Lift Bridge. It started life as a transport bridge, similar to the Detroit proposal. It is the type the ferries people or frieght (or both!) across an expanse but not on a roadway as is the usual custom. Cool stuff as always, AIW!
