As much of a sports fan as I am, I am always reminded how arrogant we are as Americans when we call our sports championships 'world championships'.
In actuality, we typically have not competed against the world and therefor should stick to titles like 'NBA Champions', 'MLB Champions' and so on.
"The World Series" I just laugh to myself.

Don't forget...the Detroit Vipers won the IHL's Turner Cup back in 1997. Perhaps it should be changed to 6 Championship Drive. |
