Not sure if it was the same one, but there was a Sanyo blimp over Windsor this afternoon also. |

There won't be MORE Sanyo blimps than Goodyear's...and I think they only run TWO of those. One is based in Long Beach JUST off the I-405...dunno where the other one parks. I once followed the Sanyo blimp along I-15 driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show in January. I doubt that they are riding the Tiger's bandwagon also...so they MUST be in town for those soon-to-be-famous women b-ball players. |

My theory after a little research: When I saw the blimp this afternoon, it was directly over me in Windsor. Tomorrow, the Sports Legend Lounge opens at Casino Windsor for betting on sports. The room is full of electronic equipment, screens, etc. Maybe it is Sanyo equipment and it has something to do with that. ??? |

A little more research and it looks like it is just flying around the country as a promotion. Check a few of the reports on the link, it has been in the area at least for a few weeks. Who came up with the idea of a blimp spotting website anyway? http://www.globe-guardian.com/ cus.htm |

If you want to see the Sanyo Blimp up close, go to Grosse Ile, it spends a lot of time at the Municipal Airport on the Island. I have also seen a Goodyear blimp docked there a few times.. |
