At the Tigers games on Sunday I noticed this “bar” in the old Madison theater Building. I also saw the building unfinished and exposed steel sticking out the top. From what I understand this was a faux bar from the super bowl, but I was also under the impression that it was eventually going to be permanent. Is this still going to happen? Or will the Madison sit empty for a little longer............in regards to my post from a week or two ago about the status of the Lindell AC, when we were all informed that the two owners were retired. I do think that this spot could be a great location for a revival of sorts for the Lindell; if of course the Madison is not permanent. Whoever owns the name and the memorabilia should look into this…..could be a great addition to the area.

There is a sign on the window about the bar being for sale. If it is a great investment maybe you should go into the bar business.

Not once did I say that it was a great investment to start a new bar…….I merely stated it may be for an established Detroit icon, who would have less trouble building a clientele…….you see what I mean, or were you just looking to make a smart a$$ comment and saw an opportunity.

That was supposed to be a new Post Bar location with some office space on the upper floors. Not sure what happened but at some point Post owners backed out and now its in the sorta half finished condition its in.

Old news titan, the project was taken over almost a year ago and it has been worked on. The exterior is almost complete.

Perhaps 'old' news but I guess overall the renovation of that building has been SLOW. Point is that nothing is going on there, nor has it been for some time from an opening standpoint and the Post was the last thing that I knew of that may have been there.

Well, they want $9,500 per month. If you think you can make it work with that kind of overhead, be my guest.
