Relatively few service jobs, yes, but moving in a heartening direction:

From Crain's alert:
AT&T Inc. plans to retain in Detroit more than 200 Southeast Michigan jobs it was considering transferring out of state.

The jobs are in AT&T’s consumer division and involve employees who take new customer orders and answer customer inquiries. A lease recently expired for a building in Redford Township that housed the employees, and the jobs were under consideration to be consolidated into another business center.

However, the company has instead decided to move the employees into its downtown Detroit headquarters. AT&T has scheduled an announcement for Wednesday.
