I haven't seen a thread for this one yet... The MEGA board also approved in Southeast Michigan: ?A $6.8 million SBT credit to help restore the Fort Shelby Hotel in Detroit. According to state documents, Birmingham-based MCP Development L.L.C. plans a $68.9 million project that includes redeveloping the first 10 floors of the building as a 204-room Doubletree Guest Suites hotel that will feature a 38,000-square-foot conference center. The project’s second phase will renovate the building’s 11th through 21st floors into 62 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The building’s 22nd floor will house a 2,272-square-foot penthouse apartment. The project is expected to create 374 jobs. ?A $3.9 million SBT credit for Motown Construction Partners L.P. of Detroit to redevelop the Broderick Tower and an adjoining restaurant in Detroit. The more-than $39.8 million project includes connecting the two buildings to create first-floor dining and retail space, and creating commercial space and residential space in the Broderick’s higher floors. The project is expected to create 95 jobs and to result in more than 11,000 square feet of retail space, more than 12,000 square feet of commercial space and more than 120,000 square feet of residential space, according to state documents.
