Maybe a dumb question, probably asked before. What do the big dots that they used to paint on abandon buildings mean? History behind them?

WONDER BREAD 101

During the 1940s Continental Baking began adding vitamins and minerals to Wonder Bread, as part of a government-sponsored program of enriching white bread. This development is credited with greatly reducing the incidence of the diseases beriberi and pellagra. In the 1950s, Wonder Bread further expanded on advertising its nutrient enrichments. The company sponsored Howdy Doody with host Buffalo Bob Smith telling the audience, "Wonder Bread builds strong bodies 8 ways. Look for the red, yellow and blue balloons printed on the wrapper." By the 1960s Wonder Bread was advertised with the slogan "Helps build strong bodies in 12 ways," referring to the number of enrichments.

Ed golick, you are a genius. They did raise it from 8 ways to 12 ways and jjaba wasn't even looking. Thanks for the great research so quickly. This makes the Forum so great.

But the schitt still tastes like white bread to jjaba.

jjaba, Eating his whole multi-grain granola wheat germ enriched poppy seed bagel. Oy, veyesmere.

As a kid I preferred Schafer's Bread, because that's what Sagebrush Shorty ate. These days I like seeded rye.

Or maybe it's Zombocom.

You can do anything at Zombocom. Just like you can pretty much do anything in Detroit.

Welcome!
