I used to mow the lawn at the blanch house inn and castle. nice river access, however, recently I heard that the owner (Mrs shannon, Mary-Jean Shannon?) passed away at the hands of cancer... Thus i'm not sure of where these facilities fall in B+B land... teh castle would make an AMAZING house... |

Andylinn, I love those 2 homes. They're in the same neighborhood as the Manoogian Mansion IIRC. The Blanche House looks like a smaller version of the White House, and the Castle looks like its' name. |

Unfortunatly both the Blance House and the Castle have been closed and sold. I belive the Castle is currently a private residence now. Too bad for us but lucky for the owner. |

http://www.theinnat97winder.co m/history1.php This house in Brush Park is a B & B. Beautiful on the outside, I've never been inside. Walking distance to many downtown attractions. |

I think the Blanche House, not the Castle, has been converted to a private residence. The Castle was on the market a while back and might still be unsold. The place probably needs some work though. Is anybody game for a 6000 square foot fixer-upper? |
