Thought I'd throw this one out there and see what kind of bites I'd get. It's a little early yet, I understand. With enough guys/gals we could either do an online draft at yahoo or cbssportsline.com OR cbssportsline has a draft kit where the draft could be held at say, a bar with a draft board. We pick players and the names are posted on a board until all the rosters are filled. [Something I've done in the past.] We sort of occupied a corner of a bar and drank and drafted and got to see just who your competing against. We could do a free league for fun or put a little money up and REALLY make it interesting. What's everyone think? |

I have been in both. The CBS league with the draft packege was really cool but I hated the league. You could only add like one player a week where at Yahoo you can add or drop players anytime you want. The points trackers were simular. I'm sure by looking around we can find one that everyone likes. Even Yahoo may have a draft board available, I havnt looked into it. We still have plenty of time before the season starts. I'll spend some time in the mean time looking. Looking for a good turnout. Better than this anyway. |

Count me in. I prefer yahoo over CBS by a longshot. Stat tracker is up to the miniute and only cost $10 and you can use it for all of your yahoo teams. I'll give you my email once we get closer to getting started, but count me in. I'll play for no money or some money, but nothing too steep |

OK....After looking at quite a few sites..I have an idea that should work if everyone agrees. CBSsportsline offers a draft kit for 24.99 http://www.cbssportsstore.com/ product/index.jsp?productId=22 96893&source=SPLN_FANT:SPOE:DR AFTKIT:071406 I've participated in one of these and it really is a cool way to hold a live draft. But CBS's leagues suck IMO. Now Yahoo has leagues where we can hold our own draft such as above and have one guy...the commisshinor enter the draft results into place on our teams. So we get the best of both worlds this way. Here are the default rules which can always be devieated from. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yah oo/football/rules/frules-08.ht ml Although these look pretty fair to me. Yahoo's football plus leagues go for $24.99 a team OR $124.99 a league. So, a 10 team league would run roughly $150 altogether. If 10 guys put up $20 we'd have an extra $50 to go to some food and drinks at the draft. All we'd need is a great place to hold the draft. Maybe a Cadieux Cafe type of place. If someone knew a bar owner to make this run smoothly it would only be a plus. I'm open to any suggestions or other ideas you guys may have but IMO this sonds pretty good to me. I'd need a little time to order the draft kit so let me know asap how many are dead serious. And if we all agree.... we can up the price so theres some prize money in the end although Yahoo gives away t-shirts to the winners in the Plus leagues. Gimme some feedback on this guys. |

Put me on the list of interested parties...most of the leagues I'm in are through Yahoo!, and I find their interface to be very user-friendly. You can set up for a live online draft, or do one in person and then the commish inputs the draft picks. Anything up to $20 is reasonable. |

Count me in as interested, also. I don't know that I'd be able to participate in a 'in-person' draft, but otherwise it sounds like a great time. I also prefer yahoo over CBS... I have run an office league through ESPN and NFL each of the last two years for free also... they both have thier ups and downs. |
