I heard this warehouse was supplying loacl Chinese restaurants http://www.clickondetroit.com/ news/9502377/detail.html DETROIT -- Hundreds of pounds of illegally imported meat and chicken have been confiscated by federal and state investigators. The U.S. Department of Agriculture worked with the Michigan Department of Agriculture on a raid at a Troy warehouse. Investigators found chicken, goose and pork products from areas in China affected by Bird Flu, Local 4 reported. USDA investigators seized more than 1,600 pounds of illegally imported poultry and pork products, the station reported. Most of the products were mislabeled and put in boxes that read frozen tilapia, according to the report. |

Someone explain to me how much time and money ANY establishment can really save by serving up cat meat as opposed to commercially available processed chicken meat?? Hmmm... pop open a big box of prepared chicken, thaw, cook & serve as opposed to luring Fluffy out, skinning it, gutting it and trying to MAYBE get three pounds of meat. Which one would you do to serve to customers?? We've all heard those stupid rumors and I have yet to ever hear of any place getting busted for serving up cat meat. Bongman, if what you say is true, we double dog dare ya (bad pun but intended) to prove it so. |

The name of the possible meat smuggling operation is Timway restuarant supply on 15 Mile Rd. between John R. and Stevenson HWY in Troy. Asian owned and operated. The USDA and the FBI I have found NO smuggled meat containing the possible bird flu virus YET! but the NO illegal meat has been sold in any Chinese or other restuarants. YET! |
