I'll be wearing my Members Only jacket and a pair of light blue flares that I bought at the Pants Galore store in Universal City.

With respect to the above, what is up with Itsjeff's post count? Is the new number because his username is no longer blue (i.e. click to email)?

Everyone's a critic today. Hope you can show up at FSC on Thursday. I think we're getting some noobs showing up and I worry that they'll be ready to after after 5 minutes of chatting with us regulars.

OK exactly what is a "noob" and what is it you're worried that they'll do after 5 minutes?

A "noob" is a new poster who catches my typos. I should have typed, "they'll be ready to bolt after 5 minutes of chatting with us regulars."

lol, I'll try not to be a "typical noob" and stay longer then 5 minutes! Just out of curiosity, are there any recorded incidences of the regulars bolting after meeting a noob?

I'm in the process of rounding up some people to go and check it out, but my schedule is only open next Wednesday only, and I won't know until Friday at the earliest how many people I can bring.

OABTW, is there a way that I can order a copy of TV Land Detroit w/o using PayPay and pick it up and pay for it at the event?

Some of the people that might be going aren't that big into Pay Pal either and but are curious about picking up some of the DVD's that day as well.

Thanx for the quick reply, Detroit_memories.

Reader's Digest version their experience w/Pay Pal (hence my aversion to using it): Some good friends of mine had used it about a year or so ago, and had some difficulty in getting their payment to go through in a timely fashion. It was a good sized amount (it was in the thousands), and it gave them some anxiety since the transaction didn't show up in the intended account until several days after it was sent.

I use PayPal all the time for my eBay purchases with no problems. I can understand your friend's anxiety though over a transaction worth thousands of dollars.
