When Kirk Kerkorian and Jim York came to GM earlier this year, they came with plenty of ideas and much expectation. Months later, now that York's advice has been heeded, and GM MAY be at a turning point, Kerkorian is recommending the same type of business deal he suggested at Chrysler that helped Daimler-Benz essentially take control of that company. I don't know if Kerkorian could help Chrysler, but the current series of TV ads featuring Dieter Zetsche certainly are not. They have to be about the dumbest ad clips I have ever seen on TV, and Herr Doktor makes himself look like a total idiot in them. Oh, well. Machs nicht. | ||

Ray1936 actually those ads have been a huge success for DCX so far. They now have a 1 day backlog due to the amount of Emails coming through. Of those only a handful are negative (somewhere less that 50 out of thousands). | ||

I have to agree with Ray. The DCX ads are attrocious and show exactly how much of a self-serving asshole "Dr. Z." is. Oh and BTW, to answer the question posed in one of the t.v. spots, "are you really a doctor?" The answer is no, he is NOT. In Germany if you have your Masters degree you gain the title "Doctor". Here in the U.S. you simply have a master's. | ||
