Mine has been out for about 45 minutes, but the cable modem works fine. I figure the outage must be city-wide, as I can't even get thru to Comcast by phone. I get an "all circuits are busy" message.

Yeah! Paying the bill gets the service restored every time.

It doesn't hurt to restart (repower) the modem, router (especially), and my VoIP unit. That usually clears any problems/speed issues.

speaking of which, i have been freeloading my wireless for my neighbor, now that i have my own, and because everyone else in this complex has locked theirs, anyone know how i can lock mine?

Mine's was choppy but works for the most part. I can't get full audio on ESPN2 though. Damn Comcast.
