There are many tall buildings in Detroit as you all know. The top floors and roofs of these buildings are sure to have great views. I have been up in a few, but not even close to the top of most of them. I was wondering what building(s) do you think have the best views of the city and/or horizon? Also what locations are the best to take pictures from? Does the Broderick have a good view? The Book Tower has a nice view of downtown as well as Comerica Park. Also, if you work downtown, what building do you work in?

I have some great shots of the river/Windsor from a suite on the 64th floor of the Marriott. I'll post them later today.

the prettiest view i've seen is atop the fort shelby. Awesome downtown picture taking oppertunity...

however the "coolest" view is from atop the fisher body 21 or michigan central... both of those give GREAT views of both the positive and negative of the city...

from the fisher 21, you can see Downtown and how developed midtown is getting (it looks like an oasis)... but in addition you can see how the freeways have ruined the city as well as oceans of blight

Michigan Central allows you a decent remote view of DT, as well as a GREAT view of the bridge to canada, but also gives you a gander at our city of sprawl...

for "further info" about whatever, shoot me an email with "DETROIT YES" in the subject...

These pics were taken on St. Patrick's Day and weekend from the 64th floor of the Marriott. I tried to size them to fit here:

1
2
3
4

The view at night was great but the pics didn't turn out that well.

That’s up there. If you go to the restaurant at the top of the Ren Cen can you look out the windows to get a view without eating?
