What's with the miles of overhead lights on I-96 being out? This is at least the second week I've driven home from WSU after 8:45 PM and there are huge swaths of I-96 with hardly any of the lights working-- extending well into the suburbs.

Try using your car headlights next time, they work remarkably well, especially when it's dark out.

Supersport-- why was it necessary to be so sarcastic? I should have known better.

you see, buddy...

whenever you percieve a problem in this marvelous city, it's an indication that there actually must be something wrong with you.

...Because it's obvious to anyone, native or stranger, who spends any time in this metropolis how well it is taken care of and planned out.

now go get yourself a spotlight, a revolver, and a 3-Liter of Faygo and allow me to be the first to welcome you to your new utopian paradise.

A huge chunk of 696 lights were out on Monday. State is trying to save money so they are selectively tuning off lights to save the electric bill.

They have some left lanes blocked off for minor work. Either they shut the power off for safety so they could work, or they are trying to fix the problem.

I don't know of any multi-million dollar project that went off perfectly the first time.

I-96 is the domain of the state (MDOT); for most practical purposes it is not even within the city limits (even if it is).
