It will be another step forward if the courts hand out a solid sentence. Part of the issue in Detroit is that our courts tend to give extremely light sentences. Expect the drivers to get probation and fines, nothing more. They will be back on the job in no time. |

I believe my car, which was fully operational and in good condition, was stolen by these guys (or a similar crew) from outside my house while parked on the street. My neighbor said he saw a tow truck passing by the house and slowing a few times the night my car was stolen. There was no broken glass on the street or anything else to show a forced entry. The car was never heard from again. I hope they stick it to these guys good. Somebody has to get the auto theft under control in Detroit. |

Same thing happened to me, right out of my parents' driveway. My neighbor saw the whole thing, around 4am. He thought I was getting repoed. He said had he known, he would have shot their tires flat. He thought they were legit. later - naturalsister |

It's best that way, Esd. But if you must, try this link, and meet another set of critics and know-it-alls. Some of them used to play here...it's a long story...you'll find their sense of humor a wee brash at times. |

I'd swear there is a group of these guys who live on or near Vernor Highway on the near-east side, too. They've got a beat-up old white tow truck. They always have a few cars halfway disassembled in an open yard there...and always give me the eye when I jog by on my way to Belle Isle from Eastern Market. |
