I learn last night that 4 cities Detroit, Hamtown and Ferndale (I forgot the 4th) just received a state grant that will pay for a bus system that will operate during big events in the area. Basically the busses will drive in a continuous loop between the cities. There will also be a kiosk which will let you know what city you are in and provide history of the city. I was drinking Jurands at the time so this is about 90% accurate some of my smaller details maybe off.

Haha, do you know where the pickup/dropoff points will be? Or is it going to be a stop in Midtown, Downtown, etc.

I was surprised to see that Hertel got this job. I haven't known him to be a supporter of mass transit. He's a pretty conservative guy which makes me even more surprised.

However, being a conservative guy, I think this bodes well for the prospects of mass transit funding. The big caveat is whether or not we can get our stuff together in SE Michigan.

Highschool my guess is that the pickup/dropoff will change based on what the major event is.

The history blips would be fun to read while waiting for the bus.
