I cannot ever remember if we discussed the top parts of the Book Caddy. There are all these towers and nooks at the top. What was up there? Hall? Penthouse? Apartments? Pool?

It is a general observation....seems to be covers and nooks for heating and colling areas as well as electrical units. beats me..stupid question, I know...

any info?

Originally there was a radio station (WCX, predecessor of WJR) on the top.

Yeah, it just housed mechanical operations for the building. The elevator tower functioned as a water tower, too, I believe.
