I noticed the Model T historical marker missing in front of the old Highland Park Plant.
Does anyone know what happened?

It's been gone for at least 10 days as I noticed it was not there on May 20th. I'm hoping that it was removed so that the sign could be cleaned up and/or replaced.

they've been doing a ton of work to the site - landscaping, facade clean up, etc. I remember hearing something about it resulting from an automotive national heritage grant, but I don't know the details.

In Flint, Sitdown Strike markers for Fisher Body #2 and Chevy #4 were stolen, although at least one of them was later recovered. The Buick marker also disappeared though I don't know if it was stolen or not.

I was contacted this afternoon, someone returning my phone call. The marker was removed by the Ford Land Development Corp. to be cleaned, refurbished and will be returned to the site, all with the blessings of the State.

So many things can be cleared up by a simple phone to the proper people, rather than wild speculation without a bit of research.

With that in mind, what happened to the Tiger Stadium marker this past weekend?
