Who is "How" and why does "How" care about Hoffa? If "How" wants us to spend "all this money" and wants "Everyone" to be "ok with it" then what is the big spill? "How" cares so I care. Why? Beats me. LOL! |

Apparently all this money should be spent on schools teaching people english. Jcdfde5, if your father disappeared and they thought he might have been buried under a barn in Milford, would you want them to look for him? This may seem like a big waste to you, but to his family who have had to deal with his disappearence for 30 years I doubt it seems so trivial. |

He's a bona fide part of Det history, is Jimmy... Still a very public figure. Nice to know the FBI still loves, cares for and thinks about him. Wonder how many more tips are in the hopper waiting for a champion? I'm fine with the whole thing. |

I don't know if you caught this one last night, but from Jay Leno: "Scientists have confirmed that portions of the remains of Christopher Columbus are, indeed, entombed in a Spanish cathedral. The rest of the remains are believed buried somewhere on a Michigan farm." |

I'd really like to plant a vegetable garden, but I'm too busy or lazy to rent a tiller. Could someone start a rumour Jimmy Hoffa is buried in my back yard? |

Speaking of overkill. How ironic that there were 40 FBI agents at the farm while they were digging for Hoffa and multiple members of the internet grammar police felt the need to show up here. |

some people sure like to waste tax dollars....yes it's a nice thing for his family but enough is enough and there are other more important projects now. if they find him what does it mean?, what will it prove? can anyone figure out who killed him? everyone knows he's dead...I'm sorry but it's NOT worth another million dollars of taxpayer money. and by way I really get tried of members jumping on other members typo's. |

Denby Graduate here. Go Tars! Since this Hoffa investigation is a "waste of money" should we then discontinue looking for the killers of the guy who was sitting in his car outside that party store about 4 years ago? If there is a clue to an unsolved felony I believe it should be followed up, otherwise those who commit these acts will be further emboldened. They will think, "geez, if I can lam out for a few years I'm home free". That's not a message I want our law enforcement to put out there. |

Does anyone else find irony in the name of the Hoffa dig site? Hidden Dreams Farm? Dream on... Another thought I had, which is like Jams' post above, is that the old mob guy who gave rise to this the 'credible' clue did it as a favor to the Hidden Dreams owner who wanted a new horse barn. I wonder who owns the farm now; it was own by a mob guy previously. Correctone, me giving a grammar / spelling test on this forum would be a crack up. I would be the first to flunk. Correctone, I was actually just having fun with the thread (at the expense of your feelings from what I can tell). I have tried to contribute meaningfully to this forum. However, there are forumers that accuse me of being a sell-out or insensitive to the struggles of others in my race (Black American). Therefore, I have decided to not take myself or any arguments/debates on this forum too seriously. If there is something that I come across on this forum that humors me, I would be hard-pressed to pass up the opportunity for a little laugh. (Message edited by Shave on May 29, 2006) |

Lowell. Thanks for getting the joke. I've a friend, who was trained by the Marines and served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam, who never could adapt to civilian life after his experiences, he became an arms dealer. The federales dug up his backyard searching for C-4 which he had to sell, they found nothing. He had buried it in his next door neighbour's backyard. No moral judgements on my part, I just find it an incredibly funny story. For those of you who take offence to this little vignette, many are trained to kill an enemy in their youth, that is something many can not just shut off and live the same life many of the rest of us do, not with the experiences they faced. I tend to read more posts here and seldom post myself and I do notice that some seem to be waiting for a mistake of some kind to jump on which I think in some cases is uncalled for, I'm more interested in the point trying to be made on the subject. my last post was really only half serious and the other half just a joke...my feelings were not hurt by Shave or Naturalsister but I just wanted to show that sometimes this knit-pickin' over a mis-spelled word can take away from the discussion. so now wood u-all grammer pole-lease tay the day off and injoy the hollerday! HA HA |
