the article states the person was 23, so being a student is pretty likely....the article also said there was no obvious sign of trauma, seemingly reducing the likelyhood of it being a homicide. will just have to wait and see |

Well it clearly was his fault, that's usually the way it works over here right? Blame the victim. |

A WSU Student! This could be act of personal vendetta, or a just a simple urban crime in the ghetto. |

Two years ago there was an incoming freshman who was touring the campus and died of some pre-existing medical condition in one of the WSU buildings. |

Warriorfan, you've been misled - according to Danny, more likely "This could be act of personal vendetta, or a just a simple urban crime in the ghetto." |

Yea, and they did it covertly... probably injected with a chemical or something so it appears there was no foul play. Lord knows outright murder in Detroit is forbiden. |

Glad to see it wasn't a forced crime. Mystery solved. 5/17/2006, 4:54 p.m. ET The Associated Press DETROIT (AP) — A man's body was found Wednesday morning inside Wayne State University's Life Science Building. Police said it appeared the man died of a drug overdose, said Tom Sakely, a spokesman for the Detroit school. The body was discovered about 6:30 a.m., but it wasn't known how long it had been there, he said. The students at Wayne State University were shaken up Wednesday after a death on campus. The student was a 23-year-old man from Inkster. Police say the man died in a 1st floor bathroom, and a syringe was found nearby. Investigators and a medical examiner told 7 Action News that it appears the man was using heroin and died of an overdose. |

You'd think that if you're going to be an employee of a university, they'd be required to run drug tests prior to putting the employee on the payroll. |

Yes, because working at a university goes hand-in-hand with giving up any Constitutional rights of privacy you may have. |

If he's smart enough to have gone to college, then he should have been smart enough not to stick something in his vein. It's pretty ridiculous to blame "society" for a person's individual faults. Maybe if blame was placed in the right place, we'd actually gain some headway in our "War on Drugs". With drugs (and booze is included in this too), responsibility begins and ends with user/victim. If you can decide what and how to feed and cloth yourself everyday, not to guzzle windex, bleach, and insecticide, then you can decide not to shoot up. |

A tainted illegal drug. That would keep those addicts down. |
