FYI folks: I subscribe to an auction newspaper and listed for this Saturday @ 8 pm is a silent & live fund raising auction at Waldorf School Auditorium, 2555 Burns in Indian Village. One of the items donated is a Four Tops Duke Fakir vintage stage worn gold silk suit w/ Duke Fakir" tag sewn inside, shirt and shoes. (Donated by Duke who has a grandson that attends the school) The proceeds from the auction benefit the school. It lists lots of great items such as vacations, Comerica park suite for 18 for a Tigers game, signed jerseys and more. $25.00 entry ticket entitles you to bid and also gets you heavy hors d'oeuvres, cash bar. Advance registration only so get a move on for a good cause and come and rub some elbows too, you just might pick up a few bargains. Anyone would look good in that outfit! I don't know the median age of posters on this site but I figure at least some would remember the Four Tops. This would be a cool addition to a Rec-room or on a manniquin near your record or 60's collection! |
